マーキングの例です。

こんにちは!そして、旧正月おめでとうございます。

Hello,everyone! Happy Chinese New Year!

寒さが少し和らぎましたが、家の中はまだ寒いですね。皆さん、かぜをひいたりしていませんか。
This week, the coldness has let up, but it is still cold in the house.
Didn't you catch a cold, do you?

皆さんの冊子に、カラーペンでマークすることをお願いしましたが、その例をあげておきますね。

These pictures are the examples of marking on Gongitsune text with highlighters.

These are hishimoto-san's markings.

hashimoto-san marks the important words in blue ink,  the Japanese scenes in red ink, and the sentences or words which are different from English translation in green ink.

Like this, please mark on the text of your book.

理解できないところ the lines which you cannot understand the meaning of sentences or words.
この作品のキーワード the key words of this work
あなたのお気に入り your favorite sentences or words
日本らしさを感じるところ the scenes in which you can feel the Japan-style

                                  など etc.

色は好きな色を使ってくださいね。 Please use your favorite colors.

Thank you.

  1. Thankfully, I did not get sick at all! The cold tried to get me sick, but I resisted and won! Hoorah!

I have been doing markings in my book, but a little differently than what you have here. I have:

    Blue - words/kanji I don't understand or know
    Green - grammar I don't understand
Dotted Green - phrases/words that might be associated with the grammar, usually connected with a little arc

I will go back over it and add the "favorite sections" and "japanese scenes"! At the moment, I am going to make up a list of the words and grammar I didn't understand and post it.

It was surprising for me to find that it was mostly just words I don't know; there was almost no grammar at all that I didn't understand! Either that or I just don't understand it at all xD I'm feeling pretty comfortable with it now though.
